Hi All!
As many of you know that the singing technique I study and teach is very famous in the pop, rock and R&B music worlds. But many people are not aware that Speech Level Singing (SLS) is first and foremost a classical vocal technique, based on the old Italian vocal school of the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries.
After much consideration, I have begun recording some examples of me singing selections of songs and arias from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Impressionist periods. I have started with the Italian Baroque repertoire. My primary reason in starting with these pieces (apart from the fact that I absolutely adore singing them) is that they are well known for highlighting a singer's vocal technique (or lack thereof). Remember, that I teach about 7 hours per day, so I have very little spare time. I record these examples in a single take. No electronic "auto-tuning" or other gimmickry is used. They are simply live recordings of me singing in my studio. I do add a small bit of reverb to my voice in order to make up for the fact that my studio's sound is completely dry.
I will do my best to add more as time permits and to move through styles of the classical vocal repertoire for which my voice may be well suited as time goes by. I also hope you enjoy hearing this music whether or not you are familiar with it; I also hope that I am able to do even a little justice to this music written by master composers of vocal mastery.
